NCC

The College has Started N.C.C in 2001-2002. A company of 100 students with a lady associate NCC Officer attached to 7 Andhra Girls Battalion of Hyderabad group is an integral part of the College.

NCC came into force in India was Conceptualized  and  raised  before independence , mainly with an aim to groom the youth , boys and Girls both, Nurture them and Channelize their energy towards nation building by making them  responsible Citizens.

National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force. After Independence, the present day NCC came into existence on 16 April 1948 through xxxi Act of parliament. NCC was formally inaugurated on 15 July 1949. The Girls wing of the NCC was raised in July 1949. On 01 April 1950, Air Wing was raised, with one Air Squadron each at Bombay and Kolkata. The Naval Wing of the NCC was raised in Jul 1962, thus completing the true representation of all services in the Corps.

Today, the NCC has an enrolled strength of more than 14.8 Lakh cadets and it basically comprises of two divisions of all the three services i.e., the Senior Division /Senior Wing for boys/girls from colleges and the Junior Division/Junior Wing for boys/girls from schools. The Moto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”.

AIMS

INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING (PARADES)
Conducting Parade every Saturday. Cadets actively participate in the parade. This helps in cadet’s posture correction and improve their health, build confidence, committed and competent leadership skills in all spheres of life. Apart from this institutional training there are several innovative and progressive trainings that are conducted to create enthusiasm and interest in the NCC.

CAMP TRAINING

Will be formalized and integrated and is a manifestation of institutional training.

SOCIAL SERVICE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Regular community development, service oriented programs are conducted with a purpose of creating and increasing the awareness and cohesiveness levels of cadets that meet the aspirations of society.


YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (YEP)

YEP is extended to more countries in order to create and increase multi linguistic, multi-cultural, socio-economic exchanges to create awareness among participants and appreciate each other’s customs. YEP also stands as a goodwill ambassador at the youth level projecting India to the world.


ADVENTURE BASED LEARNING AND SPORTS

Adventure based activities are undertaken as a form of sport, learning and personality development to enhance cadets participation.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

The curriculum on personality development/life/communication skills will be introduced into the existing syllabus

a. To develop qualities of Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, Sportsmanship, Ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.

b. To create a human resource of Organized, Trained and Motivated youth,

to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation.
c. To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.

 

NCC Activities 2017-18

  1. Two Cadets (N.Rithika,S.Shivani ) were selected for National Integration Camp at Mysore Karnataka.
  2. Thirteen (13) cadets were selected for ( IUC-TSC)at BTG.
  3. Celebrated 3rd Telangana State Formation Day on 2 nd June followed by rally.
  4. Celebrated World Environment day on 5th Followed by rally.
  5. Two Cadets (M.Bhavani,G.Anusha ) were selected for NIC at Chamba,Uttarakhand
  6. Forty one (41) cadets along with ANO detailed for ATC-II(IUC-TSC)Camp at BTG from   18th to 27Th June.
  7. Celebrated International Yoga Day on 21stJune in College and Camp.
  8.
