Profile The Department of English, one of the oldest departments of the college was established in the year 1971, and since genesis the Department has been the centre of teaching and learning activity. At U.G. level it offers courses with regard to General English and Communicative English. Owing to the importance of basic and advanced language skills the department has been training students to be competent into the use of both oral and written language skills as well as fostering into the students the skills of comprehension and understanding. The Department of Communicative English which was established in 1998 has been further helping the students to be equipped with professional language skills through its Business English program.

At Post Graduate level, the Department offers courses in poetry, drama, prose and fiction of canonical British Literature, American Literature and Indian Writing in English as well as courses in English Language teaching as prescribed by the Osmania University.

The Department have a English Lab to develop LSRW Skills of the students.
